Liturgical Feast of Saint Brother André
Sunday, January 7, 2024

A religious of the Congregation of Holy Cross, Saint Brother André was open to the graces that God set to work within him, as witnessed by his compassionate welcome of the sick and the hurting. The founder of Saint Joseph’s Oratory of Mount Royal received and listened to thousands both at the Oratory and in fact wherever he went. Brother André spoke to each a word of encouragement, an expression of hope. He invited people to entrust their suffering to Saint Joseph and to receive the sacraments.

Recognised as a saint by the Catholic Church on October 17, 2010, Brother André continues to be present to those who come to the Oratory with a ready heart.
