In collaboration with the Oratory's Mail Order department, the gift shop is now able to serve you more coveniently. The Prayerbook of the Saint Joseph's Oratory The School of Prayer of Blessed Brother André ''Pray to Saint Joseph, and I shall pray with you.'' Brother André always urged his helpers and those who came to ask his aid to turn to saint Joseph. He knew and loved all the basic prayers from the Christian tradition. He suggested them to his friends. The idea arose to make a collection of them to enable the pilgrims to pray in common.  Thus, in 1909 a supporter underwrote the publication of the first Prayerbook. And so began the tradition which we carry on to thhis very day: a newly enlarged edition of the Prayerbook, revised to enrich the spiritual life of today's pilgrims. Saint Joseph's Oratory Prayerbook includes the well-beloved prayers of the Chruch, as well as prayers using contemporary language, expressing the faith of a Church on the move. This Prayerbook is a gift that we give ourselves because these prayers are the fruit of the faith and devotion of pilgrims who come to pray with us on Mount Royal every day. In multi-faceted ways, it expresses devotion to Saint Joseph and Brother André. Using this booklet, we submit oursevels to the school of prayer of Blessed Brother André who said over and over, ''Pray to Saint Joseph, and I shall pray with you.'' Let us remain united in prayers and gratitude. At the present moment, the Prayerbook is available only in French. We hope to issue a separate volume in English sometime during the coming year.
