Youth Pilgrimages

Upon reservation, we offer specially designedprograms  for school children, as well as for young adults, led by individuals who are in tune with today’s youth. Brother André himself enjoyed talking and joking with the students at Collège Notre-Dame. He is a model for young people seeking direction in their lives.

Activities for 4 to 17 year old


Visit the shrine

Explore the Oratory with our dynamic, multilingual guides, and discover the shrine, Brother André and Saint Joseph.

Visit the Oratory with costumed historical characters who knew Brother André and enjoy a trip back in time, guaranteed!

Suggested donation: $5 per person, $75 for groups of 15 people or more.

The Musique and Spirituality tour will introduce you to the organs, the carillon, and the Petits Chanteurs du Mont-Royal. You will also meet Brother Ubald Parr, CSC, who knew Brother André personally.

Wednesdays and Sundays: $6 per person, $120 for groups of 20 people or more.

Come watch films at the Oratory. From animated cartoons to archival films and documentaries, there is something for all everybody.

Admire our nativity scenes from around the world on display in the Oratory museum year round.

Enjoy a memorable experience

A host of activities are available for young people preparing for their first communion or confirmation, and for school or parish groups.

Meet Brother Jacques Berthiaume, CSC, who knew Brother André and was healed by him twice!

Brother André Quiz: What was Brother André’s real name? How many steps are there at the Oratory? Find out the answers while playing this game, and have fun as you learn.

Explore the sacristy!: With a sacristan, discover the objects used in Catholic worship, their origin, and their signification. An introduction to the Catholic faith and its rites.

Prophet Workshop: Revisit the prophets of the Bible, and start to follow in their footsteps with the help of the prophet’s calendar!

Workshop on the gifts of the Holy Spirit: An opportunity to deepen your understanding of the Holy Spirit and its seven gifts by doing theatre!

Guided Way of the Cross: During the summer meditate on the Way of the Cross in the Oratoray's gardens. You'll deposit your intentions along the way and receive a candle as a gift.

Ring the bells: Enter the carillon, meet the carillonneur and discover how this musical instrument works with its 56 bells. $3 per person.

 

Pray like Brother André

Take part in the Mass by reading, singing, or serving at the altar!

Experience a moving prayer session adapted specifically  for your group at Brother André’s tomb, in the votive chapel, in the Basilica, etc.
