Volunteers

Volunteers are the secret to the continuation of the Saint Joseph’s Oratory mission. Without them -- without you -- Brother André's dream would be impossible. Volunteers assist at the liturgy, prepare mass mailings, and lead various program and visits. They are the mission's lifeblood, carrying aloft the torch of our founder. The Knights of Malta Auxiliary is primarily involved in monitoring the grounds, welcoming pilgrims and fulfilling specific functions during the liturgy. To become a volunteer all you need is a generous heart and a big smile.

  To celebrate the work of volunteers this week recognition

Gratitude to Joseph

Blessed are you, Joseph;
your hands, rubbed raw by the wood,
lift up the newborn Infant:
and we discern the bread of the New Covenant
lifted up at Eucharist.

Blessed are you, Joseph;
your eyes are dazzled by the Saving Presence
which has transfigured our humanity.

Take us by your rough hand
and introduce us to Jesus
whose body and blood
is freedom for the oppressed.

Your song of thanksgiving echoes in our heart
where we sense the One who is our grace.
